ARGENTARIO TOUR

The itinerary from Porto Santo Stefano to Porto Ercole, for a stretch of dirt, interesting for the beauty of the sea scenery and the wide panoramas, runs along the promontory running initially near the coast, steep and full of cavities due to marine erosion on limestone and karst phenomena. After the Punta Lividonia, the path, marked by the coastal observation towers, goes beyond Cala Grande and Piccola, then exits after that to climb and go down to the southern coast near the Cala dell'Olio and the coast portion in front of the Island Red. In the next section, not exploited by tourism, the spot leaves a bushy vegetation (juniper, lentis, myrtle, rosemary), with broom and even rare species of flowers, including orchids. Then the road, about two kilometers, not asphalted (and generally only accessible by motorbike or off-road), goes back halfway to Porto Ercole.
